Climate
Lincoln offers a mild four-season climate, with temperatures
ranging from the mid-40’s to mid- 90’s.
Low humidity keeps summer’s warm daytime temperatures
comfortable; summer nights are pleasant and ideal for
outdoor living. The annual rainy season creates winter’s
snowcapped Sierra vistas and a landscape of emerald
hills splashed with colorful wildflowers in spring.
Occasional fog can be expected on winter mornings, burning
off by midday.

Lincoln residents soon discover the region’s rich
cultural opportunities. History comes alive at gold
rush towns and a dozen Placer County museums. A variety
of art, music and theatrical productions are just a

Ceramic art is an integral part of Lincoln and architectural
terra cotta tiles and medallions can be found throughout
the community. Many can be seen on a walking tour through
Historic Downtown Lincoln, with its many classically
styled buildings.
Not to be missed is Feats of Clay™,
sponsored by Lincoln Arts & Culture Foundation held
at the Gladding, McBean plant in Lincoln. The annual
arts festival began in 1987, and quickly grew into one
of the nation’s most prestigious ceramic art exhibits,
showcasing the best in contemporary ceramic art. Each
year, well over a thousand entries are submitted to
the art show from artists around the country. The jury,
composed of nationally renown artists, selects the very

exhibition, it offers tours through its
130 year old factory.
