Climate
Lincoln offers a mild four-season climate, with temperatures ranging from the mid-40’s to mid- 90’s. Low humidity keeps summer’s warm daytime temperatures comfortable; summer nights are pleasant and ideal for outdoor living. The annual rainy season creates winter’s snowcapped Sierra vistas and a landscape of emerald hills splashed with colorful wildflowers in spring. Occasional fog can be expected on winter mornings, burning off by midday.

First Time Home Buyers Program
First time home buyers can now afford to purchase their first homes with a "silent" second mortgage. The City of Lincoln can provide up to $60,000 in down payment assistance at 3% simple interest, payable upon sale of house, to eligible low-income families. Repayment is deferred for up to 30 years with no additional loan fees.

Participants cannot have owned a home in the past three years. In addition, the household's total gross annual income cannot exceed HUD's income limits. For example, the gross annual income for a household of four cannot exceed $51,300. The appraised value of the home cannot exceed $356,250 and, at the time of the purchase, the home must meet minimum housing quality standards.

Home buyers should call Mercy Housing California at: 1 (800) 995-0431, extension 4433.

The annual arts festival began in 1987, and quickly grew into one of the nation’s most prestigious ceramic art exhibits, showcasing the best in contemporary ceramic art. Each year, well over a thousand entries are submitted to the art show from artists around the country. The jury, composed of nationally renown artists, selects the very best 75 works for display.
